IDA Chairman, signed a cooperation protocol with Eng. Mohamed Abdel Reheem, Vice Chairman of Telecom Egypt, in the presence of Akil Beshir, Chairman and CEO of Telecom Egypt, and a number of representatives of companies work within the framework of new generation program. The protocol, signed on Monday 6/7/2009, aims at providing the telecommunication services to the industrial developers' zones at all stages for renewable 5 years. This comes within the framework of IDA's endeavor to facilitate the operation procedures of the industrial zones and to set the suitable climate for investment.
IDA Chairman stated that according to this protocol, Telecom Egypt will prepare the executive detailed planning of the internal networks for each industrial zone pursuant to the foundations design presented by IDA. In addition it will provide the phone service and the other different means of technology.
IDA will bear the costs of implementing the network inside the developed zones, obtaining the drilling permits and handing over the work sites in the industrial zones free from impediments.
Moreover, the first and second stages will be implemented immediately in the 6th of October City on an area of 9 million m2 out of 20 million m2 which is the total of the industrial developers' zones,
IDA Chairman added.
