Decree No.353 of 14/12/2008 Facilitating

 procedures and Decentralization of issuing approvals.
 

Article 1:


The approvals of the inside industrial regions industries in the list A and B attached with this decision shall be issued as the following:

 

First: list A industries:

  The Industrial Development Authority (IDA) or one of its branches in governorates or the General Investment Authority and Free Zones (GAFI) investment pools shall issue the establishment approvals of the industries in list A immediately after applying for it according to controls and conditions set in the Ministerial Decree no. 825 of the year 2008.

  The following authorities are committed to issue the establishment approvals with the same conditions.

  1. The boards of industrial zones in governorates under the Prime Minister decree no. 97 of the year 2002.
  2. The investment zones boards established according to Prime Minister's decisions.

Second: list B industries:

IDA or one of its branches in governorates or GAFI investment pools shall issue the initial approvals of establishing industries in list B according to the controls or conditions set in the Ministerial Decree no. 825 of the year 2008. the final approval shall be accredited by IDA Chairman.

Third: list C industries:

the applications of industries in list C, which are prohibited by International Agreements or Regulatory Decisions, shall not be accepted.

Article 2:


The competent technical departments in IDA and the Central Administration of Geographical Branches shall take the following steps.

  1. Preparing applications forms for obtaining approvals on the industries in lists A and B.
  2. Mentioning the competent departments responsible for issuing the approvals on industries in lists A and B, in the application form to guide the investor.
  3. Notifying IDA branches in the governorates, GAFI investment pools and the boards of the industrial and investment zones committed to issue the approvals with the controls and conditions of each industry. These competent departments shall provide the technical support needed to facilitate the approvals such as the computer programs and training courses..

  

Article 3:


Central Administration of Administrative and Financial Affairs shall prepare study for the standard cost of this service in IDA or its branches or the authorities committed for issuing it.

Article 4:


This decree shall be published in the Official Journal and shall come into force as from the date following the day of its publishing.
