Minister of Trade and Industry witnessed on Tuesday 28/4/2009 signing the contract of setting the cornerstone of the Spanish Company Consorcio de la Zona Franca de Barcelona between Pyramids Industrial Parks and la Zona Franca, the greatest Industrial developer in South West Europe (it developed 12 million m2 in South West Europe). The contract is aiming to enhance and develop 2 million m2 at the 10th of Ramadan with LE2.4 billion investments providing 20.000 job opportunities. Signing the contract was in the presence of the Queen of Spain and the Egyptian Minister of Trade and Industry.
The Minister stated that this project comes within the framework of the second stage of the industrial parks new generation program with the cooperation between the government and the private sector by the industrial developer system; 5.2 million m2 were allocated for establishing 495 factories in 6th of October and 10th of Ramadan Cities with LE8 billion investments and providing 24.000 job opportunities.
