In the framework of President of the Republic's election program of establishing 1000 factory and supporting the development process in Upper Egypt, IDA approved establishing Azottic fertilizers production line in Egyptian Chemical Industries (Kima) in Aswan with investments of LE400 billions providing 1500 jobs to start production in 2012.
IDA Chairman said that using the natural gas instead of electricity would save 60% of the production cost where the company was getting 180 MB at a cost of LE700 million will be used to provide 500 medium and small factories needs.
Besides, IDA Chairman explained that 600 thousand tons of urea in addition to the raw ammonia and other 600 thousand tons of ammonium would be produced to meet the Azottic fertilizers needs of Upper Egypt.
IDA has submitted a petition to the Supreme Council of Energy for approving providing the project with gas and it has been approved in accordance with President 's directions.
