Boosting Cooperation with Brazil
During his visit to Brazil on Sunday, 10/8/2008, Eng. Rashid Mohamed Rashid, Minister of Trade and Industry, held a meeting with the members of the Brazilian Association of Automotive Producers including the representatives of the major global automotive companies. Rashid presented Egypt's plan to develop the automotive feeding industries in the coming period, affirming that there are great opportunities to cooperate with the Brazilian automotive companies. Rashid was accompanied with a delegation of businessmen representing the automotive, pharmaceutical, food, electrical machinery & equipment, cables, iron and steel sectors.

	Opening the Business & Investment Opportunities Conf.: MoU Signed with MIDA
	The Egyptian Industrial Development Authority (IDA) & General Authority for Investment (GAFI) signed on 11/8/2008 a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with their Malaysian counterparts. The MoU aims at encouraging the establishment of industrial projects in both countries in the fields of training & supporting the private sector to utilize the available opportunities for developing investment and creating partnerships. This came within the framework of Business & Investment Opportunities Conference held in Malaysia. The conference was attended by the Minister of Investment, Dr. Mahmoud Mohie El-Din and a large number of both Egyptian & Malaysian businessmen & investors.
