Rashid stated that the new industrial park will be established on an area of 2 million m2 in 6th October City during 5 years with LE 4 billion investments and providing 22.000 job opportunities. The annual exportation will be estimated by $ 2 billion and the park will include 400 factories.
 Rashid also pointed out that the park will be utilized and developed on several stages that is to start from contract's signature date, the 1st stage is to be developed on a flat area of 600.000 over 26 months, the 2nd stage is on 550.00 flat area over 38 months, 3rd stage is to be utilized on a flat area of 340.00 over 50 months and the 4th stage is on flat area of 510.00 over 62 months. Besides, 60% of the total area will be allocated for establishing spinning & weaving & ready made garments factories and their requirements while the remaining area is to be for foodstuffs and glass factories.
Eng. Amr Assal, chairman of the Industrial Development Authority (IDA), indicated that this contract is considered the 2nd of 6 contracts singed in the 1st stage of the New Generation of Industrial Parks Program on a total area of 17 million m2 with LE 37 billion investments providing 175.000 job opportunities. Assal also added that this Egyptian - Turkish industrial zone comes in the Ministry's policy to enhance the investment climate and attract industrial investment so as to provide more job opportunities and gaining new experience from international companies. |
