Eng. Rachid Mohamed Rachid, Minister of Trade and Industry, attended the conference of the national strategy for doubling the exports (Engineering Industries Sector) in 21/2/2010. The conference was organized by the Export Council of Engineering Industries, headed by Dr. Ahmed Fekry Abdel Wahab, concerning the council's plan to implement the strategy of doubling the engineering exports during the coming 4 years. The conference was attended by IDA Chairman Eng. Amr Assal, Adham Nadim, Executive Manager of Industry Modernization Center, and Chairman of the Egyptian Organization for Standardization and Quality, Dr. Hani Barakat in addition to a number of producers and exporters of engineering industries.

	IDA invites the investors to submit their prequalification for economic exploitation and mineral separation of El Burullus mineral sand deposits. The economic minerals include (titanium minerals, zircon, garnet and magnetite). A comprehensive feasibility study (CFS), undertaken by an International Specialist Firm, has proved that this project is economically attractive for investment.
