Within
the framework of Implementing The President of Republic's 1000 –
factory program and supporting Upper Egypt Governorates,
Dr Ezzat Abdel Allah, Beni Sueif Governor accompanied by IDA Chairman paid a field visit to Kom Abu Radi Industrial Zone and the factory installations of Al Sharq Co. for Ceramics and Porcelain. The factory's investments are estimated at LE150 million providing 1000 job opportunities. Ezzat and
IDA Chairman also opened the International Paper Co.'s factory in Kom Abu Radi with LE25 million investments and provides 150 job opportunities.
Beni Sueif Governor said that the first stage of Abu Radi Industrial Zone covers an area of 156 acres, encompasses 89 projects with LE1.213 billion investments besides 81 projects with LE1.3 billion investments providing 11.000 job opportunities on the waiting list and will enter the second stage soon. This stage will start as soon as the first stage's infrastructure is completed.
Beni Sueif Governorate encompasses 51 projects with LE842 million investments, within the framework of the 1000 – factory program, and provide 3220 job opportunities; 39 new factories' investments are estimated at LE664 million and provide 2373 job opportunities, besides 12 factories with new expansions with LE179 million investments and provide 884 job opportunities.
IDA Chairman stated that the total of industrial establishments at Beni Sueif Governorate and registered in IDA reach 162 projects with nearly LE3 billion investments, annual production LE2.6 billion and 6039 workers.
It is worth mentioning that IDA Fund for Subsidizing and servicing the industrial zones provided LE1.2 billion for 33 industrial zones all over the country; LE601 million of them for Upper Egypt governorates with 50%.
