A Russian delegation accompanied with IDA Deputy-Chairman, Eng. Amr Talaat, visited the Russian industrial zone in Borg El Arab on May 12, 2008. Talaat welcomed the guests and assured them of the Egyptian Government's high interest in Russian investments in all fields. He briefed the delegation on investment incentives and advantages in Egypt. The two sides agreed on boosting bilateral cooperation in the areas of vegetable, fruit, furniture and helicopter industries. The Russian and Egyptian delegations ended the tour with the following recommendations

Inviting the Russian delegation to attend the automotive
industries conference
- Providing the Russian delegation with a
means of communication with the Egyptian Centre for
Agricultural Exports Development.
- Providing the Russian delegation with a
means of contact with the Egyptian Council for Furniture
Exports.
- Discussing investment opportunities in
helicopter manufacture with the minister of military
production.
- Acquainting the Russian delegation with the average real
estate financing rate in Egypt.
