Issuing customs release letter for a hazardous chemical consignment.

Documents required :

1st: Customs release of chemical consignment for industrial companies :

  1. Submitting an application to IDA to get approval of customs release (IDA's form) signed by the person concerned or his deputy (holding an official proxy or authorization letter accredited by the bank).

  2. Copy of commercial register (original for sight).

  3. Copy of industrial registry certificate (original for sight

  4. Copy of invoice (original for sight).

  5. Original or copy of the bill of lading, stamped by the credit bank, for sight (copy to be filed).

  6. Copy of the Safety Data Sheet.

  7. Copy of the custom procedures certificate of requested chemical (original for sight).

  8. A declaration of the actual production capacity for the previous year, signed by the person entitled to sign on behalf of the company recorded in the commercial registry & stamped by the bank.

  9. Payment of service cost (0.5% of invoice value in EGP – at a minimum of LE200 & maximum of LE5000) and the cost of sending the letter issued to customs authority by express mail.

2nd: Customs release of chemical consignment from a trading company for industrial companies:

  1. Submitting an application to IDA to get approval of customs release (IDA's form) signed by the person concerned or his deputy (holding an official proxy or authorization letter accredited by the bank).

  2. Copy of commercial register (original for review).

  3. Copy of the industrial register of the company / companies for which chemicals are imported, provided that these chemicals are included in the industrial company’s production requirements (original for review).

  4. Delivery order from the industrial company to the importing trading company.

  5. Accredited letter from the industrial company addressed to IDA to deduct the imported quantity from its annual needs account, according to the quantities recorded in its industrial register.

  6. A declaration from the industrial company stating the actual production capacity for the previous year and the consumption of these chemicals, signed by the person entitled to sign on behalf of the industrial company recorded in the commercial registry & stamped by the bank.

  7. Copy of invoice (original for review).

  8. Original or copy of the bill of lading, stamped by the credit bank, for review (copy to be filed).

  9. Copy of the Safety Data Sheet

  10. Original of the custom procedures certificate of requested chemical for review (copy to be filed).

  11. Original of the license issued by the Industrial Control Authority for establishing a warehouse of toxic and non-toxic chemicals used in industry and of the trading company (copy to be filed).

  12. Payment of service cost (0.5% of invoice value in EGP – at a minimum of LE200 & maximum of LE5000) and the cost of sending the letter issued to customs authority by express mail.

3rd: Customs release of industrial companies’ annual needs:

  1.  Submitting an application to IDA to get approval of customs release (IDA's form) signed by the person concerned or his deputy (holding an official proxy or authorization letter accredited by the bank).

  2.  Original of the industrial registry certificate of the industrial company for review (copy to be filed).

  3.  Original of commercial register for review (copy to be filed).

  4.  Copy of the invoice of a previous consignment of the same chemicals.

  5.  Copy of the Safety Data Sheet.

  6.  A declaration of the actual production capacity for the previous year and the needs of chemicals approved by the person entitled to sign on behalf of the company recorded in the commercial registry & stamped by the bank.

  7.  Payment of service cost (0.5% of invoice value in EGP – at a minimum of LE200 & maximum of LE5000).
