IDA organizes "Management by objectives" workshop

On Friday the 30th of January 2009, in cooperation with the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) IDA organized the workshop of Management by objectives in Ain Sukhna. the workshop was attended by IDA Chairman, Eng. Amr Assal, TAPR II (The Second Technical assistance project to support the administrative and economic activities) Executive manager, Dr. Ali Kamel, USAID consultant, and IDA Central administration heads and general Managers. Assal focused on the necessity of this workshop in presenting the new prominent change in IDA's mission within the framework of the fierce competition between IDA as a representative of Egypt and other Arab and Foreign countries in the domestic and world markets.

 Dr. Ali Kamel, the Executive Manager of TAPR II confirmed that IDA managed during the last year to achieve great goals comparing to other authorities working with USAID. He attributed this success to the wise leadership and its role in setting IDA strategic plan besides the efficient employees who represent the main factor of any authority's success.

In this respect, Chief of the Central Administration for Planning, Marketing and Information, Ashraf Dowidar displayed the results of "management by objectives" first year which reached 70% of the targeted confirming that the performance evaluation index is increasing continuously. At the end of the workshop first day works, IDA departments were divided into functional groups to determine the goals achieved in 2007-2008 and to set the goals aimed to be achieved in 2008-2009 according to IDA strategic plan.

The workshop continued to Saturday 31/1/2009 and its works were completed under the supervision of USAID Consultant, Dr. Ahmed Ali so as to turn every department's goals into applicable ones and modify them if required.
