Industrial Development Authority (IDA)
Industrial Development Authority (IDA) serves as the primary body mandated to execute the industrial policies established by the Ministry of Industry. Its core purposes are to stimulate and promote private sector investment, oversee industrial land development, allocate lands to investors, and streamline the entire process for acquiring industrial licenses and registers.Vision:
To position Egypt as a beacon of industrial excellence and innovation, and a regional powerhouse for sustainable, high-value manufacturing and export growth—a preferred global destination for competitive industrial investment and production.
Mission:
To promote sustainable industrial development in Egypt through a stimulating investment environment, an efficient allocation of industrial land, and simplified procedures, while empowering innovation and local manufacturing, expanding high-value industries, and harnessing technology and digital transformation. All efforts are guided by clear institutional values to ensure sustainability, growth, competitiveness, and increased exports.
IDA Functions (Pursuant to Law No. 95 of 2018):
- Regulate all industrial activity within Egypt.
- Establish and execute policies for industrial land development.
- Allocate industrial land assets to prospective investors.
- Streamline the process for investors to acquire industrial licenses and registration documents.
